Golf is a game that searches endlessly for new stars. This past May, Omni PGA Frisco Resort opened in the Lonestar State, adding not only a luxury resort to the growing city of Frisco, but also two, 18-hole championship golf courses. It turns out everything really is bigger in Texas, including the additional list of amenities, both golf and non-golf related available to resort guests and residents, alike.

Omni PGA Frisco Resort features modern ranch home architecture throughout the 500 guest rooms and suites, as well as 10 private, four-bedroom ranch houses woven along Fields Ranch East golf course. With the PGA of America headquarters also on property, this resort is driven – and destined – to be one of the most complete and preeminent destinations for golf.

Golfers can tee off on Fields Ranch East or Fields Ranch West, designed by Gil Hanse and Beau Welling, respectively. Hanse’s Fields Ranch East already is scheduled for 26 major championships, including the PGA Championship in 2027 and 2034.

The 660-acre destination resort also features more than a dozen unique dining options, as well as retail outlets, golf simulators and technology-enhanced hitting bays, as well as green-grass practice facilities. After a day on the links, guests can unwind at the resort’s tranquil Mokara Spa, or cool off in one of four pools, including an adults-only infinity pool overlooking Fields Ranch. The property also boasts 127,000 sq. feet of meeting and conference space, making it the ideal destination for company retreats.

Before teeing it up, try your hand at The Swing, a lighted 10-hole short course, the perfect way to tie together a great day. Or take the kids to The Dance Floor, a fun, rollicking two-acre putting course where a nearby ice cream shop offers the quintessential post-round reward. Golfers can sharpen their game at PGA Frisco’s PGA Coaching Center (September opening) or sign up for a lesson or club fitting that can provide breakthrough insights.

Omni PGA Frisco Resort’s sprawling campus is a fresh, festive, and fun destination for golfers of all skill levels. With experiences ranging from a weekend golf getaway with the guys, to a family vacation complete with putting practice and pool time, the accommodations at the resort have been designed for a world-class getaway.

Omni Hotels & Resorts specializes in creating memorable experiences and Omni PGA Frisco Resort carries on this tradition. The Panther Creek Pavilion makes a beautiful setting for weddings or meetings and overlooks several holes on the Fields Ranch East course. Both the resort and PGA District also host several events throughout the week, as well as live music in public spaces and dining areas. Throughout the year, friendly golf competitions for adults and children pop up on both The Dance Floor and The Swing, too, with the chance to win prizes. There is truly something for everyone throughout the entire year.

Trick Rider is an upscale restaurant inside the resort that pays homage to the female trick riders of Texas lore. One glimpse of the 1,500-pound crystal horse chandelier suspended atop the horseshoe-shaped bar, constructed of more than 4,000 dangling individual Swarovski crystals, will not soon be forgotten. Much like the Omni PGA Frisco Resort, stars are just that way.
